She holds a wealth of experience in various industries, and served as a specialist in the telecommunications and software sectors for several years. Ms. Smith played an instrumental role in implementing a new ordering and billing system in March, 1998 for Verizon Communications, and she received certification from the Bell Atlantic Corporation in 2000 to order provisioning systems from the company to enter into long-distance businesses.

Ms. Smith is an advocate for the rights of disabled individuals. Her honest and straightforward nature allows her to work with individuals and businesses in a thorough and clear-cut manner. Taking a cue from Rosa Parks, Ms. Smith is a firm activist for the rights of the disabled, and serves as a voice for those that cannot find their own voice. She believes in helping people. Ms. Smith is an advisor for Coquico, and a member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Black Data Processing Associates.
